![]() I hope someone has a fix or at least an explanation as we didn't even update anything. They removed the old 'Minecraft for Windows' launcher from the App Store, so it can no longer update. You can check for updates by launching Minecraft and looking for a notification in the top right. ![]() MessageBox(Minecraft Launcher): Couldn't load launcher core from /home//.minecraft/launcher/liblauncher.so: LoadErrorNotPresent It seems like Minecraft is completely incompatible with my Mac, even with Parallels. The problem could be lying in your driver, and sometimes an older version can halt games from launching or even rendering. Sometimes, issues like this can be caused by outdated software. When I try launching it through Terminal using command minecraft-launcher, I get a response of: When I tried to open Minecraft Launcher (I didn't glich out my computer or do anything that same day) the screen went white and blank and didn't do anyhting, it just stood there and i waited for hours but still nothing. Like everyone else (note this isn't the only thread I found), when I click on the launcher, it appears on my shelf with superimposed spinning, but it doesn't open a window any more. ![]() ![]() As things worked one day and then not the next on two different Linux partitions (and apparently to others), I'm confident we didn't change anything to cause this. I installed Linux and got Minecraft working first on my profile and then on my son's just a couple days ago (on a Lenovo Flex 5 with an Intel Core i3 processor), and yesterday it stopped working just hours after buying my son a license. ![]()
